The Process

Many years ago Native Americans established the confluence of the Potomac River and one of its western tributaries as an important meeting place. They called this tributary the Conococheague. As in those times, it continues to be a popular meeting place which locals pronounce Konikahjig.

Gandalf
(...the Gold Fish?)

This unassuming little guy probably knows more about water than we'll ever know. He's our goldfish. He lives at the office as part of the Washington County Water and Sewer Department Team. He lives in our water. The water that is treated by our Industrial Pretreatment Facility.

Clean water. So clean in fact, it's cleaner than most of the water that passes by in area streams and rivers. Gandalf - as he's known - lives happily in our midst. Comfortably suspended in his water sample, he takes in the sun, the gold fish food and the social life. He is evidence that we're doing a good job.

How is this achieved? With the assistance of remarkable technologies, highly qualified personnel and through our commitment to a clean environment.
