Job Description:

Respiratory Care Practitioner
Qualifications:

Possession of a current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance.
Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Applicants will be given a medical examination prior to appointment.
Persons appointed to this position will be required to provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
Employees in this position are subject to substance abuse testing.

Job Description:
Sets up, operates and monitors ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and suctioning equipment; administers aerosol medications and medical gases per policy; provides respiratory therapy procedures such as postural drainage tracheotomy changes, breathing exercises and naso-tracheal suctioning; draws and analyzes arterial blood samples in order to determine partial pressures of oxygen and carbon dioxide and pH levels using electronic blood gas analyzers; performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency airway management procedures; observes and evaluates assigned patients in order to determine their reaction to medications and therapy and the need for changes; consults with hospital physicians concerning patients’ prescribed therapy and makes recommendations for changes; performs spontaneous ventilatory measurement and records results; performs and documents electrocardiograms.

Job Description:
Performs a variety of nursing procedures such as administering prescribed medications, monitoring patients’ vital signs, obtaining specimens for laboratory testing, and assisting in physical examinations; Performs patient medical treatments such as catheterizations, suctioning procedures, tracheotomy care, and the application of dressings; Motivates and assists patients in performing daily living activities; Documents patient progress and, as directed, keeps physicians, registered nurses, and other designated personnel informed of same; Practices behavior modification techniques designed to assist patients/clients in their treatment; Provides health education counseling to patients; Performs other related duties.  Population served includes adult, geriatric, nursing home, rehabilitation, respiratory impaired, ventilator dependent and those with chronic renal failure.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma from an accredited high school or High School Equivalence Certificate; Certificate as a Nursing Certificate from the MD State Board of Nursing with sixty (60) days from date of hire.

Job Description:
Participates in training programs designed to develop the skills, knowledge, abilities, and attitudes necessary for the treatment and care of specific patients; Learn to observe, report, and record information related to patients’ behaviors and appearances into clinical records or patients’ notes; Learns to describe and record food and fluid intake; Successfully complete required training and obtain Geriatric Aide Certificate; Performs other related duties.  Population served includes adult, geriatric, nursing home, rehabilitation, respiratory impaired, ventilator dependent and those with chronic renal failure.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma from an accredited high school or High School Equivalence Certificate;
Six (6) months of experience in direct care of patients in a medical setting;
Current certificate as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant from the MD State Board of Nursing.

Job Description:
Assists patients/residents with activities of daily living; Maintains a safe and comfortable environment; Assists each patient to attain his/her optimum level of function; Performs other related duties.  Population served includes adult, geriatric, nursing home, rehabilitation, respiratory impaired, ventilator dependent and those with chronic renal failure.
